About the role
- Senior Proposal Technical Writer responsible for developing and editing proposal content in response to RFPs. Collaborates with SMEs and program managers to ensure compliance and clarity.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality proposal content in response to Federal, State, and commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), capture teams, program managers, and technical leads to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, and compliant proposal narratives.
- Write, edit, and format proposal sections including technical volumes, management volumes, staffing plans, past performance, and corporate experience writeups.
- Translate SME-provided technical input into clear, persuasive content aligned to RFP requirements.
- Ensure all writing is compliant, accurate, and tailored to evaluation criteria and win themes.
- Draft and develop technical documentation related to a variety of projects in the IT space.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to establish technical processes and procedures.
- Document projects through the SDLC.
- Provide status reports for multiple ongoing projects and related documentation efforts.
- Assist with both user and admin level documentation.
Requirements
- Excellent writing and Communication skills
- Review and interpret RFPs, RFIs, SOWs, and amendments to ensure responses are fully compliant.
- 10+ years experience with development of technical documentation
- 3+ years experience with development of user documentation
- Fluency with industry standard technical summary and reporting techniques including Agile project management methodology
- Experience with Government software development policies and procedures
- Ability to produce quality work independently or in a group setting.
