About the role

  • Experienced HR Lead supporting line managers with people issues and recruitment at the Business & Human Rights Centre. Ensures compliance with employment laws and develops HR strategies to enhance engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support line managers on day-to-day people issues, recruitment and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with national laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and exit processes.
  • Advise managers on employee relations and grievance resolution.
  • Continuously review and improve HR policies and systems.
  • Lead development of employee engagement and retention strategies.

Requirements

  • HR professional with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong and up to date knowledge of UK employment law, health and safety regulations and GDPR legislation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent planning, co-ordination and prioritisation skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing human resource strategies and practices.
  • Collaborative and flexible approach with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with HR information systems and online tools.
  • Knowledge of another language especially Spanish, French or German - desirable
