Responsibilities
Responsible for clear and accurate presentation of results and recommendations to management following each inventory
Coordinate Physical Inventory Reconciliations and analysis in addition to coordinating timing, execution and reporting of physical inventory
Provide shrink reporting and analytics to Executive team and business partners
Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Shortage Control, Asset Protection, Merchandising, Finance, DC, Logistics, etc.)
Seek out process efficiencies and improvements
Create Value-added reporting including KPI’s and Monthly Reporting Metrics
Propose new ideas and opportunities for reducing shortage based on performance trends and industry developments
Stay up to date on industry trends in shortage
Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them to daily functions
Collaboratively work with other business partners
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
3-4 years inventory / accounting background, concentration in data analytics and reporting
Retail experience with shortage focus strongly preferred
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Passion for data, analytics and pushing business innovation
Understanding of business, accounting and inventory policies as it relates to Retail Shortage
Demonstrated understanding of the inventory flow and inventory accounting policies
Skilled at financial analysis, recognizing trends and communicating results
Excellent written and verbal communication with emphasis on strong interpersonal skills
Experience working with multiple levels of management and in cross-functional environments
Proven ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to drive projects to completion
Ability to adapt to changing business environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
