About the role
- Risk & Safety Engineer preparing and reviewing environmental and safety assessment studies for clients. Performing various safety studies as per contractual requirements and regulations in Kuwait.
Responsibilities
- Preparation/Review of Environmental and safety assessment studies and other relevant studies.
- Performs/reports Environmental and Safety studies with minimum quality monitoring
- Details analysis of environmental and safety studies requirements
- Selection of most appropriate required study methodology
- Review of applicable contractual requirements
- Review and validation of HSE study reports
- Execution of all required HSE studies
- Preparation of man-day estimates for proposals and tenders for all studies
- Meeting with clients to understand the scope of work in the project.
- Request of data for quoting purposes.
- Submitting data request forms for collection of data and document reviews for the projects.
- Attending the Sessions & site visits.
- Preparation of documents & reports as per the scope of work.
- Co-coordinating with team in BV Kuwait / any other BV Network for execution of projects.
- Coordinating with Consultants working for BV Kuwait office as per the requirement.
- Reviewing reports prepared by consultants before submission to client.
- Addressing all the comments on each study document & reports received from company / contractors.
- Maintaining project schedules and deadlines by follow-up.
- Co-coordinating with HSE Manager & other BV Kuwait staff for all the works.
- Doing all the works assigned by HSE Manager.
- Updating technical capability by reading respective journals, presentations and standards.
- To comply with all the QHSSE rules/regulations of BV as well as Client.
Requirements
- Graduate Engineer with Minimum 5 + years of Experience or Post Graduate Engineer with 3+ years of Experience or Ph.D. with 1+ years of Experience in HSE
- Experience in execution of various Safety Studies line HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL & PHSER etc.
- If for Risk & Safety : Experience in Risk Assessment/Process Safety Software is required
- If for Environmental : Environmental Modeling Software experience is required
- If for Health : Exposure in Health Assessment is required
- PHAST, PHAST Risk, PHA Pro, SIL Exsilentia and other equivalent softwares if any (HSE)
- Fully conversant with HSE Studies/Methods and able to select most appropriate technique
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Good basic computer skills
- Good written & spoken English.
