Responsibilities
BroadStreet Publishing is seeking a full-time ambitious IT Manager who brings both technical leadership and business intelligence expertise.
This role blends strategic oversight of IT infrastructure and systems with hands-on development of impactful data dashboards.
We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology operations, data visualization, and business enablement – particularly with Power BI, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Occasional travel to our warehouse in Racine, WI.
The position is located in Savage, MN and is hybrid. This is not a fully remote position.
Requirements
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for leadership, finance, operations, and distribution teams.
Integrate data sources including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Insight Works, and third-party systems using DAX, SǪL, or Power Ǫuery.
Partner with executive leadership to translate business goals into actionable KPIs and dashboards.
Manage ETL processes, ensuring clean, accurate, and timely reporting data.
IT Systems & Infrastructure
Lead administration and support of the Microsoft 365 Suite, including:
Exchange Online
SharePoint & Teams
Microsoft Office Apps
User licensing and permissions via Azure AD
Manage access, configuration, and security across ERP (Business Central) and CRM systems.
Provide support for mobile devices, laptops, printers, and other hardware; manage device lifecycle and configurations.
Oversee basic network infrastructure, security protocols, and backup/recovery systems.
Collaboration & Vendor Management
Serve as the internal lead coordinating with external vendors and implementation partners
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows in pick/pack distribution, order processing, and publishing operations.
Champion workflow automation and digital efficiency using tools like Power Automate or similar.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
5+ years of experience in an IT manager, systems admin, or BI specialist role.
Demonstrated experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI, integrating data from ERP and operational systems.
Hands-on experience with:
Microsoft 365 administration
Dynamics 365 Business Central
Power BI, DAX, and SǪL
Insight Works modules (e.g., WMS and pick/pack logistics)
Experience managing IT needs for small to mid-sized organizations, ideally with distribution or publishing elements.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Power BI data modeling and best practices of visualization.
Proficient in Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, and conditional access policies.
Experience with Power Automate and other low-code/no-code tools.
Ability to implement ETL workflows, troubleshoot data accuracy issues, and support ad hoc reporting needs.
Working knowledge of EDI workflows, device management (e.g., Intune), and basic networking.
Excellent documentation, communication, and end-user training skills.
High degree of self-direction, able to balance tactical execution with long-term IT strategy.
