About the role

  • Training Coordinator managing training administration duties at Breedon Group's Learning & Development team covering maternity leave. Responsibilities include scheduling, coordination, and compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for booking training requests for all technical training on the T&C Matrix for GB Materials currently (including health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF related development).
  • Own the training request form, review and improve based on user feedback as required
  • Be the SME for health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF related development
  • Ensure that training requests are actioned to SLAs. POs authorized by the appropriate cost centre and training records updated on the LMS
  • Provide coordination and administration for the scheduling and booking of courses booked via training request form and for issuing joining instructions and training certification via the LMS
  • Ensure that scheduled training maximizes cost efficiencies by liaising and reviewing with providers working with the Head of Learning
  • Ensure that internal and external providers adhere to key dates and contracts as agreed.
  • Ensure that course details and descriptions are kept up to date in the LMS, including renewals and certifications. Manage new certifications and ensure accurate set up in the LMS
  • Ensure certificates and scheme cards are scanned and recorded on the LMS and issued for relevant course completions.
  • Process training related to purchase orders, processing payments against activity. Report any issues or variances between actual and expected costs.
  • Proactively manage certification renewals, liaise with managers and book as required based on certification timeframes
  • Provide H&S First aid and Mental Health First Aid training activity reports on a monthly basis to Payroll for payments.
  • Source appropriate providers to meet routine & ad-hoc H&S training needs.
  • Collate appropriate feedback on training provider’s performance, as required
  • Oversee the Breedon Training Centre sub-contractors, including hotel bookings, venue bookings, POs and invoicing
  • Key contact for training providers supporting health, safety, mobile plant, first aid and NVQ/QCF
  • Regular data reporting and analysis as required
  • Add training completions to the LMS as received on the Course Request Form from the business
  • Answer queries received in the Shared Learning Mailbox
  • Maintain and organise regular reviews of the T&C matrix by in scope roles against the LMS and check vendors in place to support training needs
  • Answer all training queries and liaise with other departments in the business e.g. Payroll, HR for FAAW payments etc.
  • Generate a monthly report for business training hours and distribute for ITrent upload, as well as upload hours onto the LMS
  • Support with the T&C project

  • to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
  • to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
  • to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
  • to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • A willingness for further training and occasional travel as the needs of the business demand.
  • Learning Management software experience desirable
  • HR Competence:
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Knowledge and use of Learning Management Systems advantageous
  • Good business understanding and excellent organizational know-how
  • 2-3 years experience in an administrative role
  • Qualifications:
  • Preferably a university degree but not essential.
  • Experience in H&S or human resource/ H&S or administration
