About the role

  • Senior Accountant advising small business owners in financial matters for a woman-led company. Seeking to build lasting client relationships while ensuring financial health and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary accounting and advisory partner for assigned clients, building trusted, long-term relationships
  • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Analyze financial results and proactively discuss trends, risks, and growth opportunities with clients
  • Evaluate client workflows and recommend improved processes and technology solutions
  • Manage deadlines and deliverables across your client portfolio to ensure consistent, high-quality service
  • Mentor and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in small to mid-sized business accounting or bookkeeping
  • Experience supporting multiple-entity or multi-company clients
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets and financial statement review
  • Advanced QuickBooks Online experience (used within the past 5 years)
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Advanced technical and systems aptitude
