About the role

  • Project Specialist ensuring project alignment and efficiency at BP. Collaborating with stakeholders and improving processes in project management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the progress and alignment of projects and programs with the organization’s strategy by identifying synergies through implementation of processes, standardization of methodologies, use of institutional tools, monitoring of project indicators, support and follow-up with project managers (Leaders and Sponsors), conducting audits, delivering project management training, supporting team integration and institutional communication, and monitoring market best practices in project management.
  • Design and maintain the project and program management processes for the institution’s strategic portfolio;
  • Train, support, and assist sponsors and project and program leaders (business areas) in the established processes, methodologies, and tools;
  • Ensure that project and program documentation is maintained;
  • Ensure that projects and programs adhere to planning, respect budget limits, and identify risks that may jeopardize deliverables;
  • Manage methodologies, global risks/opportunities, product indicators, and interdependencies between projects and programs;
  • Facilitate integration among companies, areas, and people involved in projects and programs, supporting the resolution of conflicts involving the relevant areas and ensuring effective communication;
  • Optimize the use of organizational resources shared across all projects and programs;

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in administration, project management, or related fields. Proficiency with MS Office; basic English.
  • SPECIALIZATION: Required: Postgraduate/MBA/Certifications in Project Management methodologies; quality improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, etc.); MS Project; knowledge of Process Mapping.
  • EXPERIENCE: Solid experience in project management, including planning, monitoring, and control of schedules, scope, costs, and quality, applying structured project management methodologies. Experience using tools such as MS Project and the MS Office suite to develop schedules, track indicators, and prepare management reports. Experience in process mapping and improvement using quality methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma, with a focus on operational efficiency and delivering results. Experience in social-impact projects, preferably in the context of PROADI-SUS, with interaction among multiple stakeholders, and clear communication and collaboration in complex environments.
