About the role

  • Junior Sales/Business Development Intern at Bounteous focused on nurturing financial sector clients. Supporting account management and market analysis under mentorship guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and prospect potential clients (banks, insurance companies, fintechs) through market research, databases, LinkedIn and networking.
  • Support account management: maintain and nurture relationships with prospects, keep in touch, understand their needs, and position Bounteous' offering for optimal fit.
  • Qualify leads and manage CRM / lead-tracking tools; keep the sales pipeline up to date.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations and demonstrations for clients; assist senior team members in meetings as needed.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses: map trends in finance, fintech and insurance, identify market gaps and contribute to strategic thinking on Bounteous’ next objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, consulting and delivery teams to ensure alignment between what we promise and what we can deliver.
  • Regularly report on progress: pipeline status, outreach metrics, feedback, lead qualification and market insights.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution (full-time or part-time).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), ideally in English and French.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful and curious, with an interest in digital transformation, fintech, consulting and sales.
  • Comfortable with prospecting, cold outreach and client interactions; strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanour.
  • Analytical mindset: able to conduct research, understand markets and synthesize information.
  • Ability to manage time, track prospecting activities and maintain organized follow-up.
  • Basic knowledge of office tools (e.g., Google Workspace / Microsoft Office); CRM experience is a plus but not required.
