Responsibilities
- Manage employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
- Acquire resources for department activities, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manage, develop and motivate employees and first-level managers
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience leading teams and direct reports
- 5+ years advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
- 5+ years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading teams preferred
- 3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams preferred
- 3+ years of experience leading, managing, or implementing Lean initiatives preferred
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing Corrective Actions or Root Cause Analysis preferred
- Experience in building a culture of safety and quality preferred
