Manufacturing Engineering Intern supporting body shop processes, learning hands-on analysis, troubleshooting, and collaborating with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Learn the ins-and-outs of daily work by supporting hands-on analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving.
Integrated into the body shop team and directly mentored by an experienced engineer.
Collaborate and network with other Co-ops/Interns to support plant wide initiatives and Engineering.
Balance daily operational tasks while working on several projects.
Support in troubleshooting and problem solving of processes.
Support in planning and preparation of process flow and integration of new vehicle launches.
Support in driving continuous improvement of existing and new processes and developing new standards.
Documentation of key performance indicators from production activities, summary of results and management support.
Process and project data analysis, creation of processes or tools and basic programming.
Optimization of existing processes with the Engineers to optimize output and efficiency.
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems/Industrial, Computer)
Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
