About the role

  • Administrator Managed Services responsible for managing and supporting client IT services at Bluvit GmbH. Engaging in server management, user support, and IT security measures.

Responsibilities

  • System administration
  • Operation, maintenance and further development of the server landscape (Windows / Linux, depending on the environment)
  • Management of user accounts, groups and permissions (e.g. Active Directory, Azure AD)
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of server and client operating systems
  • Administration of virtualization environments (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
  • Monitoring of systems, services and networks as well as fault analysis and remediation
  • Performing updates, patches and upgrades (OS, applications, firmware)
  • Management of storage and backup solutions (e.g. Veeam, Backup Exec, NAS/SAN)
  • 1st- and 2nd-level support for internal users and customers (remote and on-site)
  • Receiving, analyzing and processing tickets (incident & request management)
  • Structured troubleshooting of hardware, software and network issues
  • Support for rollouts, migrations and hardware renewals
  • Training and support for users on standard tools and systems
  • Implementation of basic IT security measures (e.g. patch management, system hardening, permission concepts)
  • Contribution to the development of security policies and standards
  • Maintenance of operational documentation, system overviews and configuration documents
  • Participation in emergency planning (backup/recovery testing, disaster recovery planning)

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT (e.g. IT specialist in system integration) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in system administration
  • Demonstrable experience in IT support (1st-/2nd-level)
  • Strong service and solution orientation
  • Structured, careful and independent working style
  • High problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Good communication skills, ability to explain technical matters clearly
  • Team player with a willingness to share knowledge
  • Willingness to learn and interest in new technologies
