About the role

  • People Operations Specialist managing HR duties for Bloq.it's innovative smart locker solutions. Driving operations and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve our HRIS, keeping employee records accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Handle the full employee lifecycle and act as a point of contact for day-to-day questions from employees, ensuring every step is seamless, compliant, and human;
  • Liaise with IT, Finance and Office teams for Onboarding and Offboarding;
  • Drive continuous improvement of People Ops processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employment contracts, addendums, and HR policy documentation in line with Portuguese labour law;
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on payroll as a 4 eyes principle;
  • Oversee absence and leave management, including sick leave, parental leave, and annual leave entitlements, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Maintain strong audit trails and documentation in preparation for internal and external reviews;
  • Assure that we have top employee benefits, addressing queries, and liaising with vendors;
  • Advise and support managers in country procedures, company policy and HR best practices;
  • Assist in organizing internal events, such as global meetings and team-building activities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in People Operations and Payroll, ideally within a tech scale-up or high-growth environment
  • Native proficiency in Portuguese with great English communication skills
  • Experience in a transversal HR role on a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and a good understanding of labor law and HR best practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • High ability to assist diverse profiles with consistent care and respect, characterized by a strong sense of empathy
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with different stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to assist in a variety of People functions.
  • Understanding of French, Spanish, Italian, German or Dutch language will be a plus
