Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Commercial Lines Department, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Oversee the servicing and growth of a commercial lines book of business, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure the department operates efficiently and complies with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals, including revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Address and resolve complex issues related to client accounts and departmental operations.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and optimal client experience.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on departmental performance, including financial metrics and client satisfaction levels.

Requirements

  • Holds an active California Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
  • 5+ years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in managing a commercial lines team within the insurance industry.
  • Deep understanding of commercial lines insurance products, services, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Above-average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
  • Analytical Skills and Business Planning expertise.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management.
