About the role

  • Account Manager responsible for strategic customer acquisition in the diagnostic field. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop customized diagnostic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing partnerships within clinical and diagnostic laboratory environments
  • Revenue and profit responsibility for the assigned sales territory based on diagnostic-specific potential and segmentation models
  • Management of complex sales projects (e.g., systems, automation, reagent models) involving internal specialist departments such as Service, Applications, and Marketing
  • Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop customer-specific diagnostic end-to-end solutions
  • Structured and continuous maintenance of the CRM system (Salesforce) for data-driven sales management

Requirements

  • Degree in a natural science (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Biomedicine)
  • Several years of experience in diagnostic or medical device sales
  • Knowledge in molecular and/or microbiology is an advantage
  • Strong market knowledge of hospital and laboratory sectors
  • High willingness to travel (approx. 75%)
  • Fluent German and very good English
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a high customer orientation
