About the role

  • Join the Estates Administration Team at Bath Spa University, providing essential administrative support and maintaining smooth operations and records management in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you’ll play an active part in ensuring the Estates and Services Team operates efficiently.
  • You’ll support daily office activities, maintain accurate records, manage data entry and correspondence, and provide helpful, professional assistance to staff, students, and external contacts.
  • You’ll also take responsibility for the daily management of the university’s vehicle fleet, helping to keep essential services moving.
  • We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and brings a positive, proactive approach to their work.
  • You’ll have strong communication skills, excellent organisation, and confidence using Outlook, Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint and general administrative tools.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks will help you thrive, along with previous experience in an administrative role.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with the ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with people at all levels
  • As well as working as part of a team to have the capability to work under your own initiative
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively when working to tight deadlines
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent skills for attention to detail
  • 5 GCSE passes Grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Customer Service qualification
  • Experience maintaining and developing databases and modernising record systems
