About the role

  • Payroll Assistant managing payroll functions and ensuring compliance for assigned divisions in Human Resources. Handling payroll-related inquiries and contributing to team success.

Responsibilities

  • Process, balance and distribute payrolls for assigned divisions
  • Prepare, verify, and process journal entries and related General Ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare any required vouchers or wires
  • Record taxable fringe benefits, process adjustment payrolls, and balance W-2's
  • Serve as back-up for other payroll department team members when required

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, record keeping and filing systems
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with ADP Vantage payroll system preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle information in a confidential manner required
  • Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team environment
