Assistant Manager – Payroll ensuring accurate payroll delivery for Reckitt in global markets. Supervise team, manage vendor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager – Payroll is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery for Reckitt markets globally.
Supervise and guide team to ensure Reckitt employees globally are paid correctly, on time and in accordance with both statutory legislation and company policy.
Collaboration with Assist and payroll vendor to resolve all the replication and data issues resolved prior to cutoff. Guide team further with solution. Raise the Manager in case it’s repetitive and tough to get the solution.
Ensuring that there are no material audit issues and the principles of customer service are maintained.
Ensure timely sign-off and upload of Bank files for timely dispersal to Reckitt employees.
To provide support and assistance to the Payroll Manager along with team members, which may include deputizing for them in their absence.
Manage teams to ensure vendor completion of all payroll processing tasks and complete sign-off schedule for review ensuring any exceptions and outstanding tasks are documented.
Reporting areas of concern to Payroll Manager in a timely manner.
Ensuring Knowledge Transfer Activities between the GPS team and the in-country payroll teams are fulfilled to a high degree of understanding.
Supervising the delivery of UAT activities within the GPS.
Responsible for the performance management and development of team members, onshore and offshore.
Responsible for Capacity planning and hiring.
Advice Payroll analyst, Team Leader, HR and Vendor as and when required.
Vendor management by addressing their queries, additional service support, sharing feedback & managing escalation.
Interact with Country HRD and FD on monthly basis for queries and payroll performance.
Interact with IT and Project team for payroll related support.
Managing incoming inquiries to the service center to agreed Service Level Agreement. Resolving queries at first point of contact or referring to regional payroll service teams as and when required.
Identify and Drive Continuous Improvements rigorously within the team.
Drive regular audits on payroll procedures and records within the team.
Drive Quality and Controls enhancement through Six Sigma Methodologies within the team.
Monitor Projects activities within time and in prescribed manner.
Review and approve payroll for assigned market along with Project report.
Requirements
Bachelor/master’s degree, preferred commerce with Minimum 8-12 years of experience in payroll profile should be working as Payroll Lead or similar with multiple countries payroll expertise.
Team managers experience mandatory with current employer.
Deep knowledge of payroll terminologies and tax regulations for multiple countries.
Good knowledge of Excel and MS Office along with Excellent analytical skills.
Knowledge of one or more of the payroll application systems preferred such as ADP Celergo / GV, Dayforce, Strada.
Effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting.
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in payroll and HR transformation, Vendor change management.
Experience in the Payroll industry or candidate having 70% as core payroll experience would be preferred.
Should be able to support and train teams to manage payroll along with additional project deliverable.
