About the role

  • IT Support Specialist managing first and second level support for Asteria Group in Herne. Involved in user administration, IT training, and continuous technology improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to employees for IT requests and incidents, and conduct training to ensure efficient use of IT systems
  • Deliver first- and second-level support for hardware and software issues
  • Client support / user assistance: manage, support and assist users with IT-related questions
  • Administer IT systems and networks, including installation, configuration, maintenance and security updates
  • Participate in IT projects and the implementation of new technologies to continuously improve our IT infrastructure

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in IT support is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with network technologies and protocols
  • Good written and spoken English skills
