IT Operations Manager ensuring performance and reliability of IT infrastructure at Aquila Capital. Leading operations teams and managing incident resolution for seamless service delivery.
Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact between Aquila Capital and Commerzbank DTC Sofia for all operational IT topics.
Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud, and on-premises systems).
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT services and systems.
Coordinate and manage incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
Analyze system performance and implement improvements to optimize reliability and efficiency.
Lead and coordinate IT operations teams, including external service providers and partners.
Develop, document, and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001).
Oversee IT service continuity, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
Report regularly on operational KPIs, incidents, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.
Support IT projects and transitions, ensuring operational readiness and smooth handover to production.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
7+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or a similar role, ideally in a regulated or financial environment.
Proven experience in managing IT service delivery, incident management, and operational excellence.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices; ITIL certification is a plus.
Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, DORA, ISO 27001) and risk management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-border or multi-vendor environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and lead multidisciplinary teams.
