About the role

  • Process Support Engineer at Applied Materials supporting Micron's semiconductor processes in Taiwan. Delivering technical support and troubleshooting for complex equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and process expertise to key customer, Micron.
  • Deliver high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and service and repair of complex systems.
  • Develop leading-edge processes to manufacture advanced semiconductor chips.
  • Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE); analyze data with statistics and compile reports on process engineering experiments.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and perform root cause analyses.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and customer to achieve goals and build trust.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in chemistry/ physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment or process engineering, with expertise in CVD, PVD, or CMP technologies.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and on-site customer escalations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customer engineers, field service teams, and global engineering groups.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication).
