  • Event Fundraising Strategist at Animal Humane Society driving peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives for community engagement. Leading campaigns and managing relationships to increase support for animals.

Responsibilities

  • Join Animal Humane Society as an Event/Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Strategist to empower communities for animals.
  • Lead innovative fundraising initiatives from the Walk for Animals to creative supporter-led campaigns.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive peer-to-peer fundraising strategy focused on growth, engagement, and impact.
  • Manage all peer-to-peer fundraising strategies for AHS’s annual Walk for Animals event.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage existing events, holidays, and supporter milestones for fundraising.
  • Set campaign goals, track KPIs, and evaluate performance to optimize future efforts.
  • Launch and manage digital campaigns and supporter toolkits for events.
  • Oversee the setup and optimization of P2P fundraising platforms.
  • Cultivate relationships with supporters passionate about animals.
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and recognition to fundraisers throughout their campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing to amplify campaigns via email, social media, and storytelling.
  • Produce reports to inform strategy and share successes with internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, employees, and volunteers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in peer-to-peer or digital fundraising.
  • Experience with online fundraising platforms (e.g. Classy/GoFundMePro, Facebook Fundraisers).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Virtuous, Raiser’s Edge) and campaign analytics tools.
  • Ability to work in a professional and positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, especially in donor-facing interactions.
  • Must have ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computers, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Prolonged sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of humane euthanasia.
  • Reliable transportation required.
