About the role

  • Program Director responsible for teaching, advising students, and program administration in welding. Collaborating with faculty to ensure program quality and compliance with accrediting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management and administration of assigned program related to teaching, advising students, and program development
  • Work with faculty and support staff to promote continuous improvement in the quality of instruction
  • Safeguard compliance with accrediting bodies and institutional policies
  • Establish and maintain a conducive learning environment for students and faculty
  • Identify, hire, and train qualified faculty
  • Monitor integration of learning philosophy in daily instruction
  • Provide timely faculty mentoring, observations, coaching, and feedback
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards
  • Advise students on academic performance and program progression

Requirements

  • Certification or higher degree in corresponding program from an accredited academic institution
  • Educational background equal to or exceeding the maximum credential offered in the program area
  • 1 year of management experience
  • Understanding of adult learning principles
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to drive/travel to various extern/clinical/job sites
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in administration within an education program
