About the role

• Privacy Counsel at AMO, a Ukrainian IT company, implementing data privacy compliance in products. Leading privacy processes, advising teams, and ensuring adherence to laws.

Responsibilities

• Build compliance processes in line with data privacy laws and implement them across the company;
• Keep track of updates in legislation and case law in the field of personal data;
• Advise product, marketing, technical, and other teams on privacy compliance;
• Assess current and potential product functionality from a legal compliance perspective;
• Conduct DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments);
• Coordinate the handling of user rights requests (deletion, access, data portability) in collaboration with the support team;
• Proactively work with teams to implement and monitor compliance processes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant privacy experience in a top-tier law firm or an in-house legal team of an IT company;
• Practical experience implementing privacy practices in product-driven companies (IT or businesses with an online presence);
• Knowledge of GDPR and U.S. State privacy laws;
• High level of legal English proficiency and strong drafting skills.
