About the role
- Site Supervisor managing civil works for Network Rail in Manchester. Responsible for site supervision, contractor management, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that toolbox talks, task briefs and COSS briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work for allocated contracts.
- Ensure that all allocated tasks are undertaken in accordance with the planned safe method of working.
- Responsible for ordering and receipt of site deliverables, timely returns of goods receipts notices as instructed.
- Responsible for ordering and receipt of site plant, including security and timely off–hire as instructed.
- Support the Operations Manager in implementing processes and initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Manage and provide guidance to other supervisors to ensure consistent standards and effective site performance.
Requirements
- Experience working in similar lineside civils environments.
- The ability to manage and lead site supervisors in the successful delivery of the allocated contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team.
- SMSTS – Essential.
- Proficient MS user.
- COSS – Desirable.
- IOSH – Desirable.
