About the role

  • Site Supervisor managing civil works for Network Rail in Manchester. Responsible for site supervision, contractor management, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that toolbox talks, task briefs and COSS briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work for allocated contracts.
  • Ensure that all allocated tasks are undertaken in accordance with the planned safe method of working.
  • Responsible for ordering and receipt of site deliverables, timely returns of goods receipts notices as instructed.
  • Responsible for ordering and receipt of site plant, including security and timely off–hire as instructed.
  • Support the Operations Manager in implementing processes and initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage and provide guidance to other supervisors to ensure consistent standards and effective site performance.

Requirements

  • Experience working in similar lineside civils environments.
  • The ability to manage and lead site supervisors in the successful delivery of the allocated contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team.
  • SMSTS – Essential.
  • Proficient MS user.
  • COSS – Desirable.
  • IOSH – Desirable.
