About the role

  • Lead commercial strategy for the Nuclear Restoration Services contract at Amey. Focus on relationship management, compliance, and strategic delivery within Facilities Management sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy across the contract, ensuring governance and legislative compliance.
  • Build strong client relationships to support delivery, manage change, resolve conflict, and position Amey for future opportunities.
  • Drive consistent pre- and post-contract commercial processes.
  • Ensure robust reporting, cost planning, CVR, budgeting, financial control and WIP.
  • Oversee contract execution, management of Bonds/PCGs, and governance requirements.
  • Support strategic bids and ensure commercial solutions transition effectively into delivery.
  • Lead mobilisation of new contracts.
  • Shape supply chain strategy and ensure strong subcontractor management.
  • Recruit, develop and coach commercial and non-commercial colleagues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering commercial strategy on service-based contracts.
  • Track record of winning bids and delivering strong project returns on >£100m contracts.
  • Experience working across complex portfolios
  • Degree or Masters in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen; deep knowledge of standard forms of contract.
  • Understanding of UK Government support services frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication.
  • Ability to recruit, develop and lead teams.
  • Strong supply chain management experience.
  • Skilled in dispute resolution and avoidance.
  • Advanced MS Office capability.
