About the role
- Sourcing Specialist managing procurement strategies and supplier relationships for leading industrial coating resins company in Belgium. Collaborating with teams to optimize supply chain management and achieve cost targets.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for long term assurance of supply, supplier performance and selection, supply management information/data management
- Understand the goals of the procurement team, co-develop, maintain, and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned supplier & category portfolio
- Set savings plan, (improvement) targets and monitor suppliers performance
- Lead contract and price negotiations for the assigned supplier & category portfolio to meet saving target
- Ensure frequent communication with internal customers, suppliers and third parties to update material price information and define the cost-effective pricing structure
- Work closely with multiple teams (like Maintenance managers, logistics Supply Chain or, production & the EMEA procurement team) to meet business requirement or any new project target
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain management in a multinational company
- Ability to perform market, supplier and product analysis
- Ability to present data in an organized, clear and concise manner
- Good negotiation & contracting skills
- Good local language knowledge and English, both writing and reading
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP and Ariba systems would be considered as a plus
