About the role
- Procurement Specialist II managing MRO procurement transactions within RS Integrated Supply's operating system. Ensuring timely material orders and maintaining strong client relations while developing sourcing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for MRO procurement transactions within the RS Integrated Supply operating system, and the client’s CMMS system.
- Strategic sourcing of all parts requisitioned by the client.
- Ensure materials are accurately ordered, received within the site’s procurement system, and processed and expedited in a timely and efficient manner.
- Employ problem solving methods to resolve issues with delivery, price or any other order issues.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, keep an open line of communication, and maintain control of all aspects of purchasing.
- Assist with training of any support personnel including other buyers, attendants and temporary labor.
- Delivery of customer contractual commitments.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college coursework or college degree is preferred.
- 2-3 years of MRO Purchasing experience
- Solid knowledge of MRO materials
- Bilingual (Fluency in French and English, written and spoken is a must)
- Computer literacy – Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office and ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in RS Integrated Supply and client CMMS/Inventory Management systems.
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives.
- CPM/APICS desirable.
