About the role

  • Consistently achieve and exceed targets by closing qualified inbound opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through discovery, proposal, negotiation and close
  • Identify real commercial opportunities within inbound demand and progress deals with urgency and velocity
  • Position Airwallex’s payments, FX and financial infrastructure solutions with clarity and commercial depth
  • Run multi-stakeholder conversations with founders, finance leads, product teams and operations
  • Navigate pricing discussions and handle objections confidently and professionally
  • Maintain strong pipeline discipline and accurate forecasting within the CRM
  • Operate independently, take ownership of challenges and drive deals to a successful close
  • Build strong internal partnerships with Onboarding and Support to ensure clean handover and activation
  • Continuously deepen your knowledge of payments, FX and cross-border flows to support value-led selling

Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven success in a closing role
  • Experience selling technology, payments or financial services
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in full cycle sales with consistent achievement of targets on closed deals
  • Self-directed learner with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable picking up new products, systems and concepts quickly and autonomously
  • Experience working with larger businesses and managing multi-stakeholder sales processes
  • Background in payments preferred, ideally in payment acceptance (PA) or related financial technology
  • Comfortable using CRM and strong understanding of sales metrics to manage pipeline, prioritise effectively and maintain strong data hygiene
