About the role

  • Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager assisting clients with insurance coverage needs in a hybrid role. Focused on large construction clientele and supporting agency’s business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assists clients with coverage changes in automated environment supported by an imaging system
  • Determines whether delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly
  • Informs and educates clients about policy coverages, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs
  • Provides technical support to producer(s) to benefit clients and support the agency’s strategic business goals
  • Prepares proposals in coordination with producer(s)
  • Submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers
  • Obtains client signatures on applications as necessary; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
  • Manages clients’ needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related items, verifying their accuracy
  • Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for account reviews
  • Remarkets renewals, contacts clients, creates renewal proposals, and handles other renewal activities in coordination with producer(s)
  • Reviews policy audits, verifies accuracy, and facilitates corrections between the client and carrier as needed
  • Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary
  • Processes incoming mail requests, responding promptly and appropriately
  • Verifies the accuracy of all direct-billed cancellations and takes appropriate corrective action when needed
  • Processes and follows up on cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution; maintains agency financial equity whenever possible
  • Leaves accurate documentation of all contacts
  • Refers current and prospective clients to the Life/Benefits Department and to Personal Lines for solicitation of those lines of business
  • Assists in designing, or independently designs, insurance plans for clients as assigned and directed by agency management or producer(s)
  • Attends client meetings at their locations as necessary

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager supporting complex, large construction clientele within Florida
  • Applied Epic proficiency
  • Active P&C 2-20 license
  • Full knowledge of insurance products, markets, and usage
  • Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverage, and industry operations
