About the role

  • Manager of Business Development leading a team at 1Password. Focusing on generating sales opportunities and coaching for pipeline growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee both inbound and outbound lead generation efforts, ensuring a balanced and strategic approach to building a strong sales pipeline.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire a team of BDRs to achieve and exceed targets, while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline by identifying and developing high-potential BDRs for future roles within the sales organization.
  • Continuously assess and optimize processes for lead generation, qualification, and handoff to improve efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement to align strategies and maximize the impact of inbound and outbound activities.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback focused on prospecting excellence, objection handling, and product knowledge.
  • Leverage technology and tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to drive productivity and data-informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, growth-oriented environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in SaaS, with proven success leading or scaling BDR/SDR teams, or experience progressing from a BDR/SDR role into closing and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering accountability and continuous growth.
  • Strong results orientation with a focus on achieving targets, driving pipeline generation, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, and other GTM teams.
  • Growth mindset and curiosity, with a desire for continuous learning and adaptation to evolving market trends.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with sales tools and technologies including Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
