About the role
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with Western Midstream’s goals and business objectives
- Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of efficiency, innovation and accountability
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology applications and infrastructure
- Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of IT systems and applications to support business operations
- Manage IT budgets and external vendor relationships including vendor selection and contract negotiation
- Develop data governance policies and practices to ensure the quality, security, and accessibility of data assets
- Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and their business impact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in an IT executive leadership role with an oil and gas midstream company
- Proven experience in ERP systems
- Proven experience in cybersecurity
- Proven experience in enterprise systems, IT infrastructure, and application development and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High familiarity with emerging technologies
- Ability to remotely access corporate IT systems reliably (required for work-from-home days)
- Willingness to travel 5 - 10%
- Western Midstream does not offer sponsorship of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for this role (work authorization in the US required)
