  • Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Fidelity providing legal support for transactional matters. Leading legal strategies on procurement and sell-side transactions across various financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to Fidelity companies and in-house business groups on a broad range of buy-side and sell-side transactional matters
  • Provide practical and reasoned counsel and leadership on a variety of transactional matters and legal issues
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents
  • Identify risk areas relating to transactions with creative solutions to address risks
  • Apply, evaluate, and refine internal Fidelity transactional standards and practices
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional working teams

Requirements

  • J.D. required
  • Strong academic background
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience
  • Sophisticated in-house or major law firm experience preferred
  • Relevant business experience in procurement or sell-side transactions in financial services preferred
  • Significant transactional experience required
  • Experience negotiating technology development and licensing, broker dealer, advisor, or health care transactions
  • Data protection and privacy provisions preferred
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed
