Responsibilities

- Ensure timely compliance with the firm's internal/administrative procedures;
- Draft legal opinions and consultations of medium to high complexity;
- Prepare calculation spreadsheets;
- Perform tax reviews and provide guidance to junior attorneys;
- Conduct reviews of ancillary tax obligations (obrigações acessórias) and provide guidance to junior attorneys;
- Participate in tax planning projects;
- Actively participate in internal groups/committees;
- Conduct technical studies and related internal presentations;
- Supervise the work of interns and junior attorneys;
- Conduct doctrinal, case law, and legislative research of medium complexity, presenting creative and well-developed findings
Requirements
- Law degree required; postgraduate studies in Tax Law preferred, and courses in accounting or other specific subjects;
- Prior professional experience in Tax Law will be considered an advantage;
- 3 to 7 years post-qualification experience;
- Advanced English desirable;
- Active OAB registration.
