About the role
- Senior Counsel providing legal advice on AI compliance and governance for Dell Technologies. Managing various legal matters related to Artificial Intelligence and partnering with cross-functional business functions.
Responsibilities
- Act as legal advisor to Dell supporting our AI compliance and governance programs
- Manage a variety of Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) related legal matters
- Provide oversight for global governance and regulatory compliance programs
- Partner with cross-functional business functions, including the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, the Security & Resiliency Organization (SRO), Information Technology, Product Groups, and Privacy
- Help support Dell AI governance and compliance programs
- Provide legal advice and counsel to numerous Dell organization on the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, protocols, assessments related to AI
- Review and evaluate the impact of emerging AI and digital legislative, regulatory, and industry frameworks applicable to Dell
- Support the licensing, onboarding and risk assessments of third-party AI tools
- Assist with drafting responses to customer and regulatory inquiries related to Dell's development and use of AI
Requirements
- Must have a law degree from a recognized university and must be admitted to a recognized bar
- Minimum of 8+ years law firm and/or in-house experience with a combination of experience advising on Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Data Governance, Security and/or Privacy legal issues
- Experience supporting or managing compliance programs
- Familiarity with AI/ML, software development and/or experience as product counsel
- Knowledge of global AI and security industry standards and frameworks, information security and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO, NIS2, GDPR, CCPA et al)
