About the role

  • Guide, supervise and oversee the therapeutic component of the Foster Care and Adoption Department
  • Ensure implementation of service/treatment plans
  • Oversee clinical staff working with the MFS children and families
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and best practices in trauma informed care
  • Report directly to the FAD Program Director
  • Review and update policies and procedures, training modules
  • Oversee the selection of clinicians working with MFS FAD children and families
  • Verify that clinicians meet client treatment needs
  • Assist with the development of child service plans
  • Review and approve treatment goals and therapeutic intervention
  • Attend treatment level child and youth initial and subsequent service plan meetings
  • Execute crisis intervention plans
  • Monitor clinical outcomes for MFS FAD children and families
  • Maintain annual CEU trainings

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited University
  • Professional license in Texas that is in good standing
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional in child welfare, clinical setting
  • Worked with crisis situations (adult or children)
  • Treated victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and/or physical abuse
  • Administered evidence-based treatment
  • Conducted mental health assessments
  • Skilled communicator with interpersonal skills
  • Expert critical thinker and advanced decision-making skills
  • Analytical skills for interpreting mental health regulations and applying them in new protocols
