About the role

  • Director of Safety leading EHS strategy and safety culture at American Crane & Equipment Corporation. Managing safety programs and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all company safety programs and initiatives
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the Safety Manager
  • Develop and implement strategic safety initiatives to reduce risk and improve safety performance
  • Establish safety goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA and EPA requirements
  • Represent the company during OSHA inspections and regulatory communications
  • Review safety policies and programs annually to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Oversee OSHA compliance documentation and reporting
  • Develop and maintain company safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and more
  • Oversee investigation of workplace incidents and near misses and analyze safety events
  • Coordinate safety training programs including new employee safety orientation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field required
  • 8–10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience
  • 5+ years managing safety programs in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and state safety regulations
  • Experience overseeing environmental reporting and regulatory compliance
  • Strong ability to influence safety culture across multiple departments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to present safety programs and training to employees and leadership.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
