Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all company safety programs and initiatives
- Provide leadership and supervision to the Safety Manager
- Develop and implement strategic safety initiatives to reduce risk and improve safety performance
- Establish safety goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all departments
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA and EPA requirements
- Represent the company during OSHA inspections and regulatory communications
- Review safety policies and programs annually to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Oversee OSHA compliance documentation and reporting
- Develop and maintain company safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and more
- Oversee investigation of workplace incidents and near misses and analyze safety events
- Coordinate safety training programs including new employee safety orientation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field required
- 8–10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience
- 5+ years managing safety programs in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and state safety regulations
- Experience overseeing environmental reporting and regulatory compliance
- Strong ability to influence safety culture across multiple departments
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Strong ability to present safety programs and training to employees and leadership.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
