About the role
- Project Director responsible for strategic planning and execution of port and marine projects for Arcadis. Leading teams and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all aspects of port and marine projects
- Strategic planning, coordination, and project execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans (schedules, budgets)
- Oversee project implementation and perform risk assessments
- Manage teams composed of internal staff and external contractors
- Liaise with stakeholders and resolve conflicts
- Monitor budgets and prepare financial reports
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, maritime studies, or a related field
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Extensive project management experience, particularly in the port and marine sector with Canadian port authorities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards
- French – required
- English – required to collaborate with teams and clients outside Quebec
