About the role

  • Project Director responsible for strategic planning and execution of port and marine projects for Arcadis. Leading teams and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all aspects of port and marine projects
  • Strategic planning, coordination, and project execution
  • Develop comprehensive project plans (schedules, budgets)
  • Oversee project implementation and perform risk assessments
  • Manage teams composed of internal staff and external contractors
  • Liaise with stakeholders and resolve conflicts
  • Monitor budgets and prepare financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, maritime studies, or a related field
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Extensive project management experience, particularly in the port and marine sector with Canadian port authorities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards
  • French – required
  • English – required to collaborate with teams and clients outside Quebec
