About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide translation and editing services to adapt materials for a Canadian French or Quebec French audience
- Translate confidential or highly sensitive external and internal materials from English to French
- Read English documentation, ensure full understanding of meaning and context, and adapt it into French
- Consult subject-matter experts and colleagues to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
- Use available translation tools to assist with translation and editing
- Adhere to industry quality standards and ensure all work meets client requirements
- Rework and adapt texts as needed for the target audience
- Review translated documents for accuracy, audience appropriateness, grammar, spelling, structure, consistency, and internal terminology
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Translation
- Minimum of five years' translation experience
- Native or near-native written French and full bilingualism (French/English)
- Experience in proofreading/revision and post-editing
- Experience in medical translation (an asset)
- Membership in OTTIAQ (Order of Certified Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of Quebec)
- Proficiency with Trados Studio (required)
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Excellent teamwork skills
