About the role
- Telecommunications Engineer Basic supporting DLA LAN Support program across multiple USA locations. Implementing NIPR/SIPR networks and ensuring deployment requirements in a hybrid work setup.
Responsibilities
- Support the DLA LAN Support program in multiple locations
- Work on-site in a hybrid setup on tasks assigned by work orders, incidents, or change requests
- Implement standardization of NIPR and SIPR networks
- Configure and deploy devices following DLA LAN standards
- Provide technical support for enterprise-wide LAN technology refreshes and upgrades
- Complete site surveys to confirm deployment requirements and facility limitations
- Draft, maintain, and implement installation and technical design plans
- Coordinate with Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives for accurate solutions.
Requirements
- 2 years’ network operations experience
- Clearance: Secret
- DoD 8570 IAT II Compliant Certification (i.e. CompTIA Sec+, CASP, CISSP, etc)
- Cisco computing environment - CCNA, CCNP or CCIE
- High School Diploma
- Experience in managing the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data LAN services from telecommunications carriers
- Designing access and backbone networks using carrier services
- Providing technical support for enterprise-wide LAN technology refreshes and upgrades.
