About the role

  • Directeur technique en environnement contribuant à des projets d’envergure au sein de l’équipe d’EXP. Rédacteur de rapports et collaborant avec des professionnels du domaine.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Senior Environmental Project Manager for the Capitale-Nationale region;
  • Assist and advise the existing technical and professional team during all project stages;
  • Collaborate with environmental and geotechnical professionals working in EXP’s offices across Quebec;
  • Participate in business development in the environmental sector;
  • Draft service proposals;
  • Plan and carry out monitoring and execution of environmental studies involving drilling, sampling, installation of wells and piezometers, in‑situ testing, etc.;
  • Prepare study and expert reports, including supervision of laboratory testing programs;
  • Supervise other professionals (junior and intermediate) on environmental site assessment and site characterization projects (Phases I, II & III);
  • Manage monitoring mandates during environmental remediation works;
  • Perform environmental monitoring and follow‑ups;
  • Draft and/or validate technical documentation and various reports;
  • Contribute to the preparation of environmental technical drawings and specifications;
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the implementation and execution of field/site work;
  • Participate in the development of new markets;
  • Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

  • You want to hold a leadership position and act as an environmental resource/contact;
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, environmental science, biology, chemistry, geography, or another university degree related to the environment;
  • You have more than 10 years of relevant experience;
  • You are a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ), or another professional order;
  • You have a solid knowledge of the guidelines, standards, and regulations applicable to contaminated sites;
  • The designation Évaluateur environnemental de site agréé (EESA) from the Association québécoise de vérification environnementale (AQVE) is an asset;
  • Relevant experience in contaminated soil treatment is an asset;
  • You are versatile and open to working on different types of projects;
  • You have excellent spoken and written French;
  • You are willing to share your knowledge and provide mentoring.
