About the role
- Learn and understand PHY algorithms and define PHY system tests for analyzing, tuning and verifying algorithms and full system behavior and performance.
- Plan and execute PHY system tests across Algo, HW, RF, and SW.
- Tune and verify system features, performance and functionality.
- Build lab setups for system tests and operate RF/lab equipment.
- Independently debug and analyze results using MATLAB, Python or Excel.
- Collaborate closely with PHY algo group and cross-functional teams (Algo, SW, HW, RF, system validation).
Requirements
- BSc in EE from a known university with honors (GPA 90 or higher or GPA 85 with experience) – mandatory.
- MSc – an advantage.
- High level of understanding of digital signal processing, RF fundamentals and communications theory – mandatory.
- Experience with Matlab and/or Python (numpy) and with Excel – mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector signal generators, network analyzer, power meters – an important advantage.
- Independent, self-motivated and multitasking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of wireless standards such as LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth (preferred).
- Experience with source control (e.g., Git, Gitlab) (preferred).
