System Administrator managing Service Now administration and supporting Variable Compensation functions at Gartner. Collaborating with teams to optimize processes and enhance system capabilities.
Responsibilities
Drive critical requirements discussions, managing dependencies across multiple functional areas
Elicit and document business and functional requirements using a variety of interview techniques
Partner with VC, Sales, IT and other business stakeholders to develop, document and optimize processes to effectively support the VC Support Team’s key objectives.
Transform business requirements into detailed User Stories and clearly defined acceptance criteria that engineers can consume.
Decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to facilitate a general understanding.
Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects
Suggest, implement, and test system and process enhancements as needed
Participate in data integration and migration solutions
Participate in UAT testing and deployment
Develop Service Now and Anaplan model documentation and SOP’s
Modify existing models as part of a connected solution, optimization, or to incorporate new functionality
Serve as an architectural SME for large-scale connected planning solutions
Perform validation and data quality checks on both data imports and exports, research any data inconsistencies, perform root cause analysis and complete full reconciliation to guarantee accuracy
Understand multiple internal areas of business (Sales, Finance, Territories, etc.) to research, analyze, and resolve potential issues
Coordinate and complete additional projects as requested, partner with Variable Compensation to administer beginning of year and ongoing new hire quota setting for a global sales force
Requirements
Demonstrated experience as a System Administrator
Experience working in Service Now or other ticketing systems.
Service Now and Anaplan model building experience a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology, Agile or similar
Ability to work in both a team and individual contributor environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Innate problem-solving ability, ability to dig deep, persevere, overcome obstacles to solutions/analysis
Ability to efficiently gather data, perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and succinctly communicate analyses in a language understood by business leaders across multiple disciplines within an organization
Ability to self-prioritize responsibilities, possibly by end goal, result, and manage to completion
Takes complete ownership in areas of key responsibilities and has a strong desire to be the subject matter expert of your domain.
