About the role

  • Lead teams in identifying out of the box solutions to complex issues and encourage innovative thinking

  • Identify financial services industry thought leadership and incorporate into client service
  • Implement and coach others on policies, procedures, and work-programs
  • Own process level client relationships and collaboration with external stakeholders
  • Lead risk assessment management interviews and internal audit plan development
  • Draft test plans or work programs; create/review narratives or flowcharts
  • Identify and review all risks and controls for a process and perform review of staff work
  • Manage budgets, provide analysis of estimates to engagement leader, prepare deliverable drafts
  • Master and apply IIA Professional Standards, Internal Methodology, COSO 2013
  • Support multiple client projects simultaneously and participate in firm initiatives
  • Provide mentorship, give/receive feedback, support recruiting, and contribute to business development activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, audit, internal audit, or related internal control positions
  • Ability to travel to meet client needs and work collaboratively with others in-person and remotely
  • Openness to workday flexibility, agility, remote work environment, leveraging new tools
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Established experience in multiple industries or subject-matter expertise in one specific industry
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, accounting or related discipline (preferred)
  • Proficiency in professional writing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools (preferred)
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (preferred)
  • Qualified to pursue a job-relevant certification (e.g. CPA, CIA,) (preferred)
  • RSM does not intend to hire entry level candidates who will require sponsorship now OR in the future
