About the role
- Strategic direction and further development of governance structures within the IT function
- Line and functional management of department staff
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, BSI IT Baseline Protection / IT-Grundschutz)
- Development and maintenance of a division-wide IT architecture strategy
- Establishment and monitoring of a company-wide project portfolio
- Definition and implementation of policies for data quality, data security and data availability
- Optimization and standardization of IT service and operations processes
- Establishment of transparent IT cost controlling, including budget planning and forecasting
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Reporting to IT management and active participation in shaping the IT strategy
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent qualification
- Several years of management experience in a comparable role with responsibility for multiple specialist areas
- Solid knowledge of IT governance, information security, data protection, project management, IT controlling and process management
- Experience in building and managing complex IT structures and governance models
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Strategic thinking, high initiative and assertiveness
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
