Summer Adventure Camp Program Director providing leadership and management of Camp Fire Alaska’s summer camp. Developing programming, supervising staff, and overseeing camp operations throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Provide year-round leadership, supervision, and oversight to the management of Camp Fire Alaska’s Summer Adventure Camp
Lead and collaborate with a team of direct and indirect reports to deliver high-quality licensed summer day camp programming
Spend the majority of the school year developing and executing a vision for Summer Adventure Camp(SAC)
Develop the SAC program structure, planning activities, developing curriculum, working within a budget, and creating effective trainings
Oversee in the supervision and management of Summer Adventure Camp Program locations and leadership during summer
Collect feedback and data to inform decisions and planning for next summer
Requirements
3 years experience working in program planning, implementation and working with youth (preferably school-age children)
Prior experience in the development and delivery of programs for youth
Successful experience as an administrator within a licensed or accredited program
Minimum of twelve college credits (with at least 3 credit hours specific to early childhood education) in education, youth development or related filed OR Child Youth Care Credential (CYC)
Experience in designing and facilitating training programs for youth and staff
Ability to transport all program materials and supplies to site
