Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in network security engineering or related field
- Expertise in Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, and ASA firewall platforms, including policy management, NAT configurations, and zone-based architecture
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management
- Experience implementing and tuning Palo Alto App-ID, User-ID, and Threat Prevention features
- Familiarity with migrating from other vendors to Palo Alto Networks firewalls using automated methods
- Strong understanding of proxy technology, proxy bypass strategies, and traffic steering using PBF
- Experience with Zscaler Cloud Connector and GRE tunnel deployments
- Familiarity with Minimum Security Baseline (MSB) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) frameworks
- Proven ability to troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues using tools like ThousandEyes
- Working knowledge of Python and experience applying network security automation techniques in operational environments
- Strong documentation skills, including weekly updates using the Firewall Engineering weekly update standard
