Responsibilities

  • Operate and administer Tenable and Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management (MDVM), performing scans, discovery, prioritization and remediation validation.
  • Conduct advanced investigations of incidents escalated from L1/L2, including analysis, containment, eradication and remediation recommendations.
  • Manage integrations and data flows between Tenable, Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID and ServiceNow VR, ensuring data quality, accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare executive and operational reports, and track vulnerability and incident response KPIs.
  • Serve as a technical reference and guide L1/L2 teams on analysis, processes and best practices.
  • Perform scans, discovery, asset classification and vulnerability detection using Tenable (Nessus, Tenable.sc or Tenable.io).
  • Monitor, prioritize and analyze vulnerabilities considering Tenable VPR, CVSS, asset criticality, active exploitation and exposure context.
  • Use Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management (MDVM) for correlation and prioritization of risks across endpoints, servers and applications.
  • Validate applied fixes, perform rescans, document exceptions and confirm remediation effectiveness.
  • Correlate vulnerabilities with exploitation alerts or suspicious activity in Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory and ensure consistency of integrations between Tenable, Defender, ServiceNow and Sentinel.

Requirements

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Tenable (Nessus, Tenable.sc or Tenable.io)
  • Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management (MDVM)
  • Microsoft Defender XDR
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience in SOC environments, including incident analysis, threat hunting and event correlation.
  • Experience in Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM), including prioritization, scanning and end‑to‑end remediation tracking.
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, log analysis, networking and hardening practices.
  • Previous experience in technical leadership or mentoring L1/L2 teams.
  • Clear communication, structured documentation and the ability to translate technical risks for executive and non‑technical audiences.
