Responsibilities
Work as part of a small team of systems modelling engineers focused on the architecture, development, and deployment of internal tools based on our in-house system models and simulators.
Define the technical roadmap and architecture for tooling platforms that support engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
Ensure tools are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and ensure tools meet user needs.
Oversee best practices in software development (version control, testing, documentation, CI/CD pipelines).
Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve workflows and decision-making through automation and advanced modelling.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in systems modelling and simulation, with experience in a senior role where you are responsible for technically mentoring more junior team members.
Experience developing tools or platforms that interface with complex system models or simulators.
Experience writing requirements for software/tool development.
Experience using real-world telemetry to calibrate models/simulators.
Experience developing software collaboratively as part of a team, and the associated software development techniques and best practices.
Strong programming skills in JULIA or Python; familiarity with MATLAB, C++, SQL is a plus.
Solid understanding of RF communications and satellite system CONOPS (LEO/MEO/GEO).
Knowledge of 3GPP standards.
