About the role

Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team of systems modelling engineers focused on the architecture, development, and deployment of internal tools based on our in-house system models and simulators.
- Define the technical roadmap and architecture for tooling platforms that support engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Ensure tools are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and ensure tools meet user needs.
- Oversee best practices in software development (version control, testing, documentation, CI/CD pipelines).
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve workflows and decision-making through automation and advanced modelling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems modelling and simulation, with experience in a senior role where you are responsible for technically mentoring more junior team members.
- Experience developing tools or platforms that interface with complex system models or simulators.
- Experience writing requirements for software/tool development.
- Experience using real-world telemetry to calibrate models/simulators.
- Experience developing software collaboratively as part of a team, and the associated software development techniques and best practices.
- Strong programming skills in JULIA or Python; familiarity with MATLAB, C++, SQL is a plus.
- Solid understanding of RF communications and satellite system CONOPS (LEO/MEO/GEO).
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
