About the role

• NMC Engineer managing Fixed & IP core network operations for Vodafone. Ensure network quality and performance while providing technical support across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• The Fixed Network Assurance NMC associate engineer carries out activities concerning the operation and maintenance of the Fixed & IP core network at all the company’s sites.
• Perform the remote monitoring of network quality and performance.
• Diagnosis and rectification of problems.
• Maintains a high level of knowledge of services provided to Vodafone customers.
• Escalates and manages incidents or problems that could affect those services, ensuring the availability and quality of these services.
• Act as a single point of contact for Company’s internal technical departments and customer care, Regional NOCs as well as for foreign and domestic operators.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience in telecommunications or Computer Systems (desired)
• Must be able to work on 5-2 shift schedule and fulfill ad-hoc shift replacement needs.
• Must have technical / professional qualifications: First degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
• Very good knowledge of English language oral and written.
• Nice to have experience in: IP Networking (Certification such as CCNA, etc. is preferable).
• Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including, routing/switching, VLANs, etc.
• Other BSS system, e.g., Siebel
